Warm Specifications
Warm forging is suitable for processing stainless steel material.
During warm forging, material is heated to 300-750°C before it is processed. However, in a warm former, it is carried out at around 200-600°C.
Sakamura formers can be equipped with induction heaters, and warm specifications are possible.
Coolant oil is necessary in reducing wear and preventing seizing, but under high temperatures, fires can occur or components may decompose. Therefore, depending on the temperature, a water-soluble lubricating (cooling) agent or oil lubrication (cooling) is used.
When using a water-soluble agent, an oil protector may be installed in order to prevent the solution from mixing with the oil in the machine’s drive section.
